Cotton Prices Remained



Cotton prices remained in the range on falling production estimates for 2015-16 and subdued demand. The United States department of agriculture trimmed India for 2015-16, the USDA said in its World's Agriculture Supply and Demand Estimate. India cotton output estimates for 2015-16 stood at 27.80 million bales (1 bale = 480lb), lower from the previous month's forecast of 28 million bales, USDA said in a report. 

United States Department of Agriculture trimmed India's exports and domestic consumption for 2015-16. India's total exports projection fell to 5.70 million bales from 5.80 million bales in previous month's forecast. India's total domestic cotton consumption forecast stood at 24.50 million bales as compared to previous month's estimate of 25 million bales.
