On NCDEX settled up by 0.8% at 18320 on rising demand at the physical markets. Moreover, restricted supplies from growing regions also added support to prices uptrend. Prices also seen supported on expectations of fresh export deals as supplies from Turkey and Syria are reportedly disrupted. India's jeera exports grew 55% to 41,000 ton during first quarter of this on the back of increased demand from China and Bangladesh. As per fourth advance estimate of Gujarat State for 2015-16, jeera production is pegged at 238,000 ton as against 197,000 ton a year ago. However, it is much lower than 2013-14 output when the state produced 346,000 ton jeera.
