Maize On NCDEX Settled Up By 0.66% At 1374




Maize on NCDEX settled up by 0.66% at 1374 tracking firmness in spot demand and overseas prices. According to the first advance estimate of food grain production, India is set to produce 19.1 million tons of maize this year as against 15.2 million tons produced in 2015. Maize sourced from Davangere moved towards Bangalore and Nammakal at Rs. 1520 per quintal, 1600 per quintal respectively. In Davangere, new crop contains 14-18% moisture level. At Naugachia market in Bihar arrivals were reported at 1667 Quintal, steady as against previous day’s arrival. At Khanna market in Punjab, estimated market supply was at 3750 Quintal, unchanged as compared to previous day’s arrival.
