Cardamom Sinks Over 2 On Weak Physical Demand

Cardamom futures tumbled by more than 2 per cent during noon trade in the domestic market on Thursday as investors and speculators exit positions in the agri-commodity amid soft physical demand for cardamom in the spot market.

Abundant supplies amid higher physical arrivals from the major cardamom producing regions also exerted downward pressure on domestic cardamom prices.

At the MCX, cardamom futures for November 2016 contract is trading at Rs 1278 per kg, down by 2.17 per cent, after opening at Rs 1309.90, against a previous close of Rs 1306.30. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 1278 .
