Maize On NCDEX Settled Up By 0.78% At 1425




Maize on NCDEX settled up by 0.78% at 1425 tracking firmness in spot demand amid lower supply. In India, maize has been sown in around 12.21 lakh hectares as on 23rd December’16 which is higher than 11.42 lakh hectare covered during corresponding period last year. In Maharashtra, it has been sown in around 2.07 lakh hectares which are higher than 1.997 lakh hectare covered during corresponding period last year. At Khanna market in Punjab, total arrivals are at 3000 Quintal, steady as against previous day’s arrival. At Naugachia market in Bihar, arrivals were reported at 500 Quintal, lower by 333 Quintal from previous trading day.
