Jeera On NCDEX Settled Up By 2.8% At 18345

Jeera on NCDEX settled up by 2.8% at 18345 on lower arrivals from the producing belts. Moreover, expectation of rising exports demand also added support to jeera prices uptrend. The Reports showed that 10,867 tons of jeera arrived during March 20-25 compared to 12,331 tons during previous week same period. Already, Gujarat government has estimated lower output this year due to adverse weather. Daily jeera arrivals have been rising in the markets of Gujarat. Earlier this month, Federation of Indian Spices Stakeholders projected jeera output at 5.23 million bags of 55 kg during 2017 up from 4.21 million bags a year ago.
