Turmeric On NCDEX Settled Down By -0.66% At 6342

Turmeric on NCDEX settled down by -0.66% at 6342 on profit booking despite of fall in arrivals from the producing belts. Weak demand from stockists and masala manufacturers may also put pressure on prices. Turmeric prices are seen lower due to expectations of higher output and limited buying by stockists. India's Apr-Dec turmeric output grew 6% to 68,500 ton. Turmeric output is expected to be bumper as not only the acreage was higher but weather remained favourable. Report showed that the turmeric arrivals in the country slow down last week (20-25 March) to 21,220 tons compared to 621,061 tons during previous week.
