Cardamom On MCX Settled Down By -0.9% At 1250.6

Cardamom on MCX settled down by -0.9% at 1250.6 amid lack of support in the wake of reports of scattered showers in the producing centers of Kerala. Recent summer showers in Kerala have resulted in improved yield expectations for upcoming crop in 2017. Weather conditions in the coming months are crucial for good crop in 2017. India exported 3,000 ton cardamom during Apr-Dec down from 3,825 ton a year ago, data from Spices Board showed. Total arrivals stood at 12 tonnes and of this 10 tonnes were traded. The maximum price was at Rs. 1,255 a kg. The auction average dropped to Rs. 1,016.23 a kg from Rs. 1,068.55 a kg the previous Monday.
