NCDEX Jeera For Sep Delivery Contract Closed Lower



NCDEX Jeera for Sep delivery contract closed lower as market participants initiated fresh selling at higher levels. The prices have been quite volatile on reports lower arrivals in Gujarat on expectation of damage to stored jeera due to heavy rains but lower export demand is keeping price lower.

As per Agmarknet, jeera arrival during first 10 days in August increase to 3,016 tonnes as compared to 1368 tonnes during previous 10 days (June 21-30). As per government data, Jeera exports during first five months in 2017 is 5039 tonnes, up 9.7% compared to last year exports volume for the same period.
